Get Answers to Frequently Asked Questions Here

Here are a few of our most frequently asked questions. If you don’t see your question below, don’t worry; simply contact us or email us your questions.

  1. When will the next meetup be?

Our 2nd Annual Meetup will be on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 10:30am to 4:30pm at the Mehana Recreational Center in Kapolei (1080 Kakala Street, Kapolei, Hawaii 96707).

  2. How many spots will be available?

We have a total of 30 spots available this year.

  3. Will the meetup have catered food?

No, this year it will be a potluck event so please bring a dish to share.

  4. How do I register for a spot?

Currently all spots are full but we have started a waiting list. Please DM us on instagram at @oahuketomeetup or email us at oahuketomeetup@gmail.com to be added to the wait list. If there are spots that open up in the future, we will start contacting people on the wait list.

  5. Why is there a $12 registration fee?

This year we are renting out a venue that comes with a cost so we need help from everyone to help cover the cost of the venue. We will also be using the money for things we need such as plates, utensils, drinks, etc.

  6. How do I send Payment?

We will be accepting payments via paypal. You can send your $12 payment via paypal.me/oahuketomeetup *Please note that registration fees are non-refundable. If you end up not being able to to attend the event, please contact us. You can sell your spot to someone else to take your place or if you need help finding someone to take your spot, we can look at helping you contact those on our wait list.

If you don’t have paypal, you can send payment via venmo to Arlene (@leene) or you can coordinate to meet any of the hosts so they can collect your cash payment in person.

  7. Can I bring a guest?

This is a keto event so we would love for all attendees to be following this ketogenic lifestyle. We will allow you to bring your other partner, however, each person needs to pay for their own registration fee and each of you will need to bring a potluck dish to share with everyone as it is not fair for one couple to only bring one dish while singles attending is bringing a dish.

  8. Are children allowed?

No. This will be an all adult event.

  9. Will we be able to swim in the pool?
Yes! Please bring extra clothes if you wish to swim and enjoy the pool.

  10. Does my potluck contribution need to be keto friendly?
Yes, since this is a keto event with guests following the ketogenic lifetyle attending, please be sure your potluck dish is keto friendly.

  11. How will I sign up for potluck?
Closer to the date, we will send out a memo to a pot luck sign up sheet to avoid any duplicate dishes.
